Brother Otto Waldmueller, C.M.M.
Brother Otto, a Mariannhill missionary, is celebrating his 60th jubilee of religious vows on May 1,
2015. Born in Germany, he spent 18 years in South Africa, first running the monastery’s tannery,
then help building mission churches. He is a trained welder. He has been in the USA for 29 years,
doing maintenance of the buildings and property of the Mariannhill community here in Dearborn
Heights. People know him for his friendly and helpful personality.
He had an older brother, now dead, who was a priest in Mariannhill, Fr. Pius, and he has a sister in
Germany who is a nun. May God bless him for his long years of faithful service.
